Wigs care

To care for your synthetic-fibre wig, use mild shampoo, conditioner and alcohol-free styling products to keep it looking beautiful for as long as possible.

Use an antistatic metal brush. For curly models, use a wide-toothed comb or your fingers.

Never use heat, a hairdryer, heated rollers, a curling iron or straightener on a synthetic hair prosthesis. The exception is synthetic fibre labelled “HEAT RESISTANT,” which tolerates heat up to 180 degrees.

Wigs - washing

1-

Brush the wig before shampooing to detangle.

2-

Fill a washbasin with cold water, add a small amount of mild shampoo and agitate to create lather. Never apply shampoo directly to the wig.

3-

Immerse the wig and swirl gently in the water to wash. Do not rub or wring the wig.

4-

Repeat step 3 in clean cold water to rinse.

5-

Fill the washbasin with cold water, add a small amount of mild conditioner and stir to blend. Never apply conditioner directly to the wig.

6-

Immerse the wig and swirl gently to wet thoroughly. Do not rub or wring the wig.

7-

Repeat step 6 in clean cold water to rinse.

8-

Gently sponge off excess water with a towel.

Wigs - drying

1-

Place the wig on a plastic stand designed for this purpose. Never place it on a polystyrene or other foam stand because it could get stretched out of shape or mildewed.

2-

Use your fingers to gently restore its shape. Never comb a wig while it is still damp.

3-

Let the wig air dry and do not place near a direct source of heat.

Wigs - styling

1-

Once dry, brush the wig using an antistatic wire brush. For curly models, use your fingers or a wide-tooth comb.

2-

Style as usual, while respecting the shape of the wig. You can use alcohol-free styling products. Wig shapes are permanent; once they are washed, they will go back to their original shape.
